Tornado in Egin

We had some excitement in Egin Sunday afternoon. We were eating dinner when a storm hit. We had hail and then it got really quiet at our house. It was kind of eery! Well, we didn't know that an actual funnel cloud had passed thru some of our neighbors places until later. Tiffany called and said it hit their place. It tore parts of the barn off and buckled the whole east side. Stuff was flying all over and it picked up their swingset and topsy-turveyed it. Brett made them all get away from the window and I guess it was pretty scary. Then later we found out that it hit Dirk and Dena's ripping their shed apart, tossing things all over, tearing shingles off, tipping the power pole and being pretty frightening. Then, it moved on and took out a big pine tree in Staleys yard. Then, it took out 2 huge pine trees at Weston Crapo's. They were there and they were really scared. The trees lit on the house doing some minor damage but they are all okay. I don't know if it hit anywhere else but Mandi said you could actually see the funnel and the noise was super loud. I'm glad no one was hurt! Spring is fun, but not when things like that happen.

A Beautiful Day

We got up at 4:45 this morning and went to the temple. It was David's first time to go to the Rexburg Temple since he has been back and it was so nice to be there with him and John. Just as we were getting to the celestial room the sun was coming up and it was so beautiful in there. It is a great day to be alive! All is well, All is well!

Spring is Coming

I really think spring is on its way. The weather has been so nice the last few days and the snow is melting big time in my yard. I can even see some dirt in my garden spot. Hallelujah!!!!!
This past few days I have been at home and it has been really nice. On Friday evening, Lindsay and Camri came out to stay while Rob was on a campout. We went to the High School and watched Conner and Bridger wrestle. They were in a little wrestling camp and they got to wrestle 3 different times. They did really good and I was so proud of them. Wrestling is tough and they were pretty tired. On Saturday, we just hung out and then went to Jacie's 4th birthday. She was pretty excited that she was 4. Her Grandma Diana made her a really cute princess castle for her cake. It was pretty awesome. On Sunday, I went and listened to David and Brett speak at 3rd ward. They both did really good. It was fun to listen to David. He spoke some about his mission and we haven't really got to hear much about his mission, so it was nice. On Monday, Tif called and invited me to go to IF with her. So, I did and it was fun. Tuesday was just MY DAY. I cleaned up the house and then I actually scrapped a few pages. It was nice and it got me excited to keep scrapping. So, maybe I will get a few more done. I hope so before the weather takes me away outside.

Time well Spent

This past weekend we had a lot of family time and it was really nice. On Saturday, Lindsay and Camri came out and spent the day with me. We didn't do a whole lot but it was just nice. That evening was our Stake Conference. We decided to go out to dinner before at Craigos. All the kids came except for Trever and Jaimie. They were installing new tile and wasn't done. It was good. Linds, Rob, Court, and Christopher didn't have conference but they went with us also. We then went to conference and it was really good. They spoke a lot about strengthening the family and that was what we were doing. On Sunday we went to conference again. Also very good. Afterwards we had been invited to Lindsay's for dinner. She had a great roast beef dinner and we really enjoyed it. We visited and played some games. Then, the other kids were calling wondering where we were. Little Jacie said, Are you home yet Grandma? We laughed and said that Dad and I need to put radio transmitters on us so that the kids can find us. Ha Ha! No, it is nice to have them want to spend time with us. We are very greatful for all of our kids , their spouses and our grandchildren. We then went home and everyone else in the family came out and we played lots of games, ate food and just had a nice evening hanging out. We never even turned the TV on and it was great. The last ones left at 11:00 and John and I crawled into bed thanking our Heavenly Father for such a great family and for the nice weekend we had. The only bad thing was we really slept in the next morning. I woke up at 8:33 and had to be to work at 9:00. Woops!! I made it by 9:04.I look pretty tired, but oh well it is Monday!

Relaxing Weekend

On Friday, John and I left Rexburg about noon and headed down to Heather and Koby's. We hadn't seen them since Christmas, so it was nice to get away and see the baby and them too. When we first got there, Heather and I had a foot zone by her friend Jamie. They are very relaxing and help you to know what is going on in your body. I wish I could have 1 every month. After that we ate supper and just relaxed and played with the baby. She has really grown but is still a petite little thing. She now weighs 12 pounds. She will be 6 months old on the 12th of March. On Saturday, I got my hair cut and then Heather had a haircut and color. We went into Logan and hung out awhile. We ate at Chili's and then John and I took Lizzie back to their house to tend while they went to the temple. We then watched a crazy movie and just chilled. On Sunday, they got up and went to church. John and I were going to go to Sacrament meeting at 11:00 but we got doing things and decided to just stay home. I had started dinner and it was almost ready when they got home. We ate, did a few things on the computer and headed home. It was just a nice relaxing weekend. It's always fun to get away.
